Original Vintage Special Offer Slave One Action Play Setting Backdrop Only (Box Is For Reference Only and is NOT included in the sale). Vintage original 1981/82 Kenner Slave One Action Play Setting backdrop.
This is an original vintage piece not a reproduction. Backdrop is in very good condition. It doesn't look to have been played with. Someone did set it up at some point and put tape on the small tabs to hold it in place. Looks like the tab was removed at the perforation on one when they folded the backdrop up again.
So the tab is still attached with the tape. The tape could probably be removed however I will let the new owner do so if desired. Backdrop shows some light creases etc however it is overall in fantastic condition with nice vibrant colors. These backdrop environments never survived and are especially hard to find in any condition.
There were two separate special offer backdrops that came out. One for the DV Tie Fighter and another for the Slave One.
The Slave One version was cut down from the tie fighter version to fit inside the box. The back of the backdrop shows some age related discoloring which is normal for this piece. Also some light tears to the surface where the tape was removed from the tabs but it's very hard to see (see pics).These rarely come up for sale and especially in this nice condition. I've included a picture of the special offer box alongside the backdrop so you can see the offer. The box is not included and is for reference only. "Only the backdrop in included in this sale".
